HawaiianHorseChick, I'm so sorry to hear that. My black mini named Stardust colics a lot (he has ulcers) and every time I get worried about him. And a few weeks ago, my horse, Bellah, choked on something pretty bad. Thankfully she's okay but we could easily have lost her. And before that, we had to put one of our rescue horses down. Her name was Frosty and she was dangerously thin, no lie, and her feet were a mess. She had dropped fetlocks and from her cannon bone down was all swollen and callused up on both front legs. That was when we got her. We probably put on a hundred or so pounds on her, and did everything we could about her feet but it just wasn't enough, She was sadly laid to rest after months of fighting her pain back.
