Finally, a chance to escape the everyday grind of work and spend some time with my beloved Noble. As I approach his stable his head pops out and calls to me in a low nicker. I stroke his face and give him a scratch on the neck. I lead him out and over to the tie up rail and give him the greatest groom. Starting from the top of his ears I work my way down, checking him all over for scratches, bumps or hot spots. All's good. I then take him out and let him into the gallop paddock. Abeautiful place for him to tretch his legs. I reckon it's just about starting time for you young man! I head off to clean his stable and change his water.

I walked into the barn and led Black from his stall. He was a mess!!! I took out the curry comb and began brushing him. Then I ran a body brush over him. Black stretched and snorted. I laughed. He may have been a mess, but he always finds a way to look handsome, the big flirt! After I brushed him I picked his hooves and comb his silky mane and tail. Then I cleaned his nose and ears and ran a face brush on his face and over his body to give him a good shine. Then I led him outside and released him into the his paddock. I watched him stretch his legs and arch his neck. He looked so beautiful. I went back inside, mucked out his stall, gave him fresh water and a hay net.

I walked back into the barn after putting Rosana in her pasture when I noticed a bunch of people, "Hi everyone!" I said. I fiished putting the rest of my horses outside and grabbed a pitchfork and wheelbarrow. I mucked out all of my horses stalls, dumped out the water buckets, scrubbed the water buckets, refilled the water buckets, set up their evening hay and grain, replaced the old salt licks, and finally put pony treats in their food buckets. It took me about an hour and I decided that it wouldn't hurt the horses to be out a little while longer. I went into the tack room and over to my tack locker. I pulled out everything, put it on the floor, and cleaned out all the dirt that had settled on the bottom. I refolded all the blankets and seperated the stable sheets, it was getting time to start blanketing. I neatly stacked evrything back in place and pulled out some leather cleaner and oil. I cleaned off my boots, saddle, all three bridles, and everything else I could find made of leather. Next I polished it all with oil and put everything away. I took my saddle pads and put them in my truck to bring home and wash them. I glanced down at my watch and decided that my horses could come in but first I got some hot water and made them each a warm bran mash with chopped carrots and molasses. After puoring the soupy mixture into the buckets I brought them in one by one and let them eat. While they slurped away at their dinner I swept them off with a soft brush and threw their stable sheets on. After double checking the latches, water buckets, and hay racks I grabbed all four leather halters and scrubbed them down with cleaner. I put them back and said my goodbyes before heading out the doorway and hopping in my truck. I drove home and put the saddle pads in the washer and went online. After about fifteen minutes I printed out a paper and went to the kitchen and began baking.

The next morning I pulled in and fed all my horses their grain. I put some hay out in the pastures and one bu one let them out to stretch and play. I mucked out their stalls and put fresh water in their buckets, I filled the hay racks full, and set up their evening grain. Their treat for tonight was a slice of pony cake! I plopped a peice into each of their grain buckets and set the rest down next to the white board. I wrote that the cake was for everyone and you could take a slice or two if you wanted. Then I Grabbed each horse one at a time, brought them into the barn, and groomed them over really good. When they were clean I set them back out in the pastures. I did Decio H last and when I finished grooming him I led him out to the equine swimming pool. "Want to go swimming?" I asked him even though he didn't really have a choice. I walked him into the water and had him work hard, strengthening his legs and topline. After about five minutes I took him out (Early because he's not used to swimming yet) I led him back to the barn and dried him off with towel. I put him in an epty stall until he was completely dry, even underneath all his hair, so he wouldn't get a chill. I put on his stable sheet and let him stay there for about an hour, just to be sure. I was just finishing up sweeping the tack room when I heard "Hello! Is anyone here?" I wondered who it was and said "Hi! I'm here, in the tack room". Who could it be?
